Shop notes
The port measures about 57 mm and the hose about 57 mm, the same, so the port seats inside the hose as a friction fit. No reducer is needed for this pairing, so the Benchtop jointer 2-1/4 in port and the 2-1/2 in shop-vac hose connect directly.
It is a push fit, not a lock. Seat it fully and check it has not crept loose after a few minutes of vibration before you trust it on fine dust.
