Shop notes
The 1-1/4 in hose (32 mm) and the 2-1/2 in hose (about 57 mm) are the small and large ends of the shop-vac range. A stacking step reducer, such as a set that steps 2-1/2 in OD down to 1-1/2 in OD and 1-1/4 in ID, bridges accessories between the two.
Do not chase one universal cuff. A stacking reducer set that nests several steps is more reliable than a single moulded part that only half-grips each size.
