Shop notes
The D36 hose tool end is about 44 mm OD and a 27 mm Festool tool port is far smaller, so the hose cannot seat. Festool's own DC-D 36/27 reducing sleeve steps the 36 mm hose down to the 27 mm tool, keeping the antistatic path intact.
A generic push-in reducer breaks the antistatic continuity that stops static shocks on the hose. If you sand fine dust for hours, use the antistatic sleeve, not a bare plastic step.
