CONNECTION
Connect a DeWalt random-orbit sander stepped port to a 35 mm EU power-tool port (DeWalt / Bosch / Makita)
How to join a DeWalt random-orbit sander stepped port to a 35 mm EU power-tool port (DeWalt / Bosch / Makita), and what stops it leaking dust.
Direct fit
These connect directly. A 35 mm EU power-tool port (DeWalt / Bosch / Makita) seats on the DeWalt random-orbit sander stepped port with no reducer.

| Reducer needed | none, direct friction fit |
Shop notes
The DeWalt sander ships with a stepped 26 / 32 / 35 mm adapter, and a 35 mm EU hose grips inside its mid tube. Because both are built to the 35 mm convention, this is a direct friction fit with no separate reducer.
The 35 mm hose slides off the smallest 26 mm tube if you push it there. Seat it on the middle tube, where the documented grip is, not the tip.
