Shop notes

The hose tip is about 32 mm and the port socket about 64 mm, a gap of 32 mm, so the port socket simply swallows the hose tip with no contact. A 2-1/2 in to 32 mm step reducer is needed, and even reduced the airflow is mismatched between the Router table fence port and the DeWalt DWV012 32 mm hose.

Wrapping tape to close a 32 mm gap never seals cleanly and chokes the airflow further. Step the sizes properly, or pair each end with a fitting closer to its own size.
