Shop notes
Found on: Single-stage 1.5 to 2 HP dust collectors from Grizzly, Jet and Shop Fox.
Many single-stage collectors have a 5 in inlet that splits into two 4 in ports or takes a 5 in main duct. A 4 in hose needs a 4-to-5 in increaser to reach it, and the larger inlet keeps duct velocity up on longer runs.
