How to join a Skil / Skilsaw table saw 2-1/2 in port to a Makita 28 mm anti-static hose, and what stops it leaking dust.
Not compatible without stepping down. A Makita 28 mm anti-static hose is far larger than the Skil / Skilsaw table saw 2-1/2 in port, so it needs a 2-1/2 in to 28 mm step reducer.

Shop notes
The hose is about 28 mm and the port about 64 mm, a gap of 36 mm, so the port simply swallows the hose with no contact. A 2-1/2 in to 28 mm step reducer is needed, and even reduced the airflow is mismatched between the Skil / Skilsaw table saw 2-1/2 in port and the Makita 28 mm anti-static hose.
Wrapping tape to close a 36 mm gap never seals cleanly and chokes the airflow further. Step the sizes properly, or pair each end with a fitting closer to its own size.
