Shop notes

Measured across the joint between the 5 in dust-collector hose and the 6 in dust-collector hose, the hose (152 mm) is 25 mm larger than the smaller hose (127 mm), so the hose rattles inside without gripping. A 5 in to 6 in step reducer closes that 25 mm step so the two hold together instead of leaking at the gap.
