How to join a Bosch GTS1031 table saw port to a Makita 28 mm anti-static hose, and what stops it leaking dust.

Shop notes
Measured across the joint between the Bosch GTS1031 table saw port and the Makita 28 mm anti-static hose, the port (51 mm) is 23 mm larger than the hose (28 mm), so it will not seat. A 2 in to 28 mm step reducer closes that 23 mm step so the two hold together instead of leaking at the gap.
A 23 mm mismatch feels close enough to force, and it will hold for a minute before it works loose under airflow. Fit the step ring rather than trusting friction on a gap this size.
