Measured across the joint between the Skilsaw SPT99T table saw port and the Festool D50 antistatic hose, the port socket (57 mm) is 7 mm larger than the hose tip (50 mm), so the hose tip rattles inside without gripping. A 2-1/4 in to 50 mm step reducer closes that 7 mm step so the two hold together instead of leaking at the gap.
A 7 mm mismatch feels close enough to force, and it will hold for a minute before it works loose under airflow. Fit the step ring rather than trusting friction on a gap this size.
