Shop notes
The hose tip measures about 35 mm and the port socket about 36 mm, only 1 mm apart, so the hose tip seats inside the port socket as a friction fit. No reducer is needed for this pairing, so the Ryobi sander port and the Metabo ASR 35 mm hose connect directly.
It is a push fit, not a lock. Seat it fully and check it has not crept loose after a few minutes of vibration before you trust it on fine dust.
